Jim Boyle is Vice President of the Hoag Clinic MSO, the physician platform for Hoag’s physician network and payor contracting vehicle for Hoag. Jim is an experienced managed care expert with a strong background in technology and analytics.

In his role, Mr. Boyle has executive responsibility for Hoag Clinic’s MSO teams including Claims, Enrollment & Eligibility, Ambulatory Case Management, Referral Management, Utilization Management, Quality Management, Rx Refill & Prior Authorization, Quality Improvement, Nurse Triage and Physician Services teams.

Mr. Boyle previously served as the Chief Operating Officer at Golden State Medicare Health Plan, with numerous responsibilities leading the organization through rapid change including contracting of a new Pharmacy Benefit Manager, expansion of the health plan, and streamlining claims, enrollment, member services, human resources, compliance, and marketing operations. Prior to that, Mr. Boyle, was the Vice President of Information Services, Business Intelligence, and Transformation Technologies at Providence St. Joseph Health.

Mr. Boyle received his Master’s in Public Health, Public Health Practice from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Providence College. He is expected to complete his Master of Science in Information Design and Strategy from Northwestern University in Spring 2021. He also holds an active Certification in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT). Mr. Boyle has received numerous accolades in his career. In 2016, Becker’s Hospital Review recognized him in 50 Healthcare Leaders Under 40 and 33 Health IT & Revenue Cycle Wiz Kids. In 2017, the Catholic Healthcare Association of the United States named him one of the 11 recipients for Tomorrow’s Leaders recognition.
