Charles A. Loeb, M.D., is a urologist at Hoag specializing in sexual medicine and male fertility. Dr. Loeb ‘s expertise extends to erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease and hypogonadism. He is fellowship-trained in prosthetic urologic surgery, including penile implants and microsurgery, such as varicocelectomies and vasectomy reversals. His clinical specialties encompass male fertility and hormonal management, sexual and ejaculatory dysfunction, and both surgical and non-surgical management of complex Peyronie’s disease, including Xiaflex injections. Dr. Loeb completed his fellowship training in male reproductive medicine and surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. He finished his urology residency and general surgery internship at the University of California, Irvine after earning his Medical Degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, New York. Active in clinical research, Dr. Loeb is engaged in studies on the effects of targeted shock wave therapy on sexual conditions. He has authored several peer-reviewed clinical publications on testosterone replacement therapy, among other men’s health topics, and serves as a reviewer for many urologic journals including the Journal of Urology and the Journal of Sexual Medicine. Dr. Loeb is a member of several professional societies including the American Urological Association, the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction and the International Society of Sexual Medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Loeb enjoys tennis, skiing, painting, cooking, spending time with his family, and rooting for the Los Angeles Lakers.
