Francesca M. Sakamoto

MD

Francesca M. Sakamoto

About Dr Francesca M. Sakamoto

Bio

Dr. Sakamoto’s journey to pursue a career in medicine started at a young age from hearing stories of how her mother, a critical care nurse, helped people over the years. Merged with college studies sparking an intrigue in the human body and the capabilities it has at both the chemical and cellular level, the desire to become a physician grew stronger. With a patient-driven, holistic and approachable nature, she is able to forge relationships with her patients. She wants patients to know, “It is an immense honor and privilege to care for someone in times of vulnerability, fear and uncertainty.” She gains trust from her patients by working together as a team and creating evidence-based treatment plans for their health journey. The field of internal medicine has allowed Dr. Sakamoto exposure to nearly all aspects of the healthy and unhealthy adult. Meaning, she can diagnose and treat a variety of symptoms and conditions. She chose primary care to allow her the opportunity to be involved in the entirety of her patients’ adult lives and be an advocate during their medical journey. Dr. Sakamoto received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York and completed her internal medicine residency at Huntington Health in Pasadena, California. During her free time, Dr. Sakamoto finds joy curling up with a good book, binge watching her favorite shows and working on a puzzle with her partner. Additionally, she enjoys being outdoors, going for walks, relaxing by the pool or continuing to perfect her golf game.
