Pregnancy & Infant Loss
1 Hoag Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92658

As part of the Pregnancy & Infant Loss Program, Hoag offers a weekly Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group for parents and families who have experienced an early pregnancy loss, stillbirth or newborn death. The group provides a compassionate environment to allow parents and families the opportunity to heal and work through the grieving process. In addition, it provides support and sensitivity to families who have suffered a previous loss, while they consider a new pregnancy, or as they manage the feelings of being pregnant after a loss.
Hoag’s Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group is facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker with many years of experience in working with families who have experienced a loss. The group is open to anyone who has suffered a loss, including those whose loss did not occur at Hoag. Extended family members are welcome to attend with you. Parents who have experienced a loss after a difficult decision are also welcome.
Meetings are held weekly on Tuesdays at 6 pm virtually on Zoom. To learn more about attending this support group, please call 562-882-7901.
Session Topics may include:
Understanding and Navigating the Waves of Intense Feelings
Explaining Death of a Sibling to Young Children

An additional resource in Orange County for perinatal loss includes Forever Footprints (formerly OC Walk to Remember). This organization offers education, support and remembrance to families who have lost a baby. The annual flagship 5K walk occurs in the fall.
If you lost a baby during pregnancy or infancy AND are pregnant now, we invite you to join this NEW support group. Facilitated by a LCSW, who specializes in pregnancy after a loss, the group will help you manage fear or anxiety so you can enjoy this pregnancy.
