Breath and movement based gentle yoga practice to find ease, calm, inner nourishment, and strength. The class will build balance, resilience, and strength at both the physical and mental levels. Coming together to practice helps us renew and restore health as a community cultivating social support. We will learn the foundations of yoga postures, movements, breath, and meditation. No previous yoga experience is necessary.This class is led by licensed clinical social worker, long-time oncology social worker, and experienced yoga teacher, Nandini Naranyan, LCSW, E-RYT500, C-IAYT.

Chemotherapy can be scary but learning more about it can help ease anxiety. Please virtually join our oncology nurse navigator to explore the ins and outs of chemotherapy and how it works through your body. You will have the opportunity to learn about what chemotherapy is, what to expect during treatment, and tips for managing side effects. Hoag cancer patients must be under the care of a Hoag Oncologist and in active treatment or starting treatment soon. You must have camera access in order to attend.

The Lymphedema Workshop is a monthly educational workshop facilitated by our lymphedema specialist. Covers risks, healthy habits and prevention. Topics change monthly. Mindfulness & meditation can help reduce the stress & anxiety that surround a cancer diagnosis. Please join Anusha Wijeyakumar, Hoag's Wellness Consultant, and inspirational speaker, to find your inner peace. A live Q&A with Anusha, a mindful practice, along with journaling will be some of the activities to look forward to during this session. The support group will be conducted via zoom. Monthly on the 1st Wednesday of the month

This workshop is offered to Hoag breast cancer patients that have completed active treatment and/or are receiving hormone blocking medications and are interested in learning more about nutrition and weight management. This is a two-part workshop series where you will be instructed on healthy nutrition choices and weight loss strategies. After attending PART A and PART B you will be offered an opportunity to meet with a registered dietitian for weekly weight loss guidance and planning to begin your weight loss journey.This class is for Hoag breast cancer patients only who must be under the care of a Hoag Medical Oncologist and have completed treatment up to 5 years post diagnosis.You must attend PART A before attending PART B and both session but must be completed before qualifying to meet with a registered dietician.For questions, call 949-722-6237.
